Liz began her career in the media industry in London working for Haymarket Publishing, IPC magazines and Yahoo!. She then transfered to New York with a remit to develop integrated global marketing partnerships across Yahoo!'s 23 international territories. Living in New York on 9/11 proved to be a turning point for her and she returned to London to pursue a long time passion for cinematography. She studied at The London Film School and subsequently worked as a Director of Photography. Combining her business and new media marketing skills with her filmmaking experience she saw an opportunity to set up a new style of Production Company which gave birth to Film38.
Since then the company has gone on to win awards for short films, pop promos and commercials. Today Film38 produces films for leading advertising and digital agencies for brands such as Mazda, Heineken, Johnnie Walker and John Lewis, and has a reputation for being strong in the production of content for the web and other new media platforms such as digital signage. In keeping with its independent filmmaking heritage The Film38 group has further evolved to incorporate “entertaining:tv” which develops ad-funded programming and “Coco & Claude Films” for the development of feature films and shorts.
